approach/emphasis

common thread is an alignment based yoga studio. our belief is that physical alignment leads to alignment in all parts of our lifestyle. while functional anatomical alignment will be a primary focus at ct, spiritual and mental alignment are natural by-products of an alignment based yoga/asana practice. the emphasis on alignment allows our teachers to meet each student exactly where they are on their yoga journey. we promote the “beginners mind” as an effective tool for learning, and in some cases unlearning alignment principles. our teachers are always collaborating, learning and evolving; deepening their education of the many physical, mental and spiritual aspects of yoga.
